Women who Inspire Kickoff A Great Success!

Posted by Nancy ONeale on Sunday, January 27, 2013

Dr. Kim wowed her audience at Women who Inspire Kickoff Event on Monday, January 14th from 7-9 pm at Lawrence Tech University. She spoke to us about how she found her purpose in a motivating and personal story about her life's success and struggles.

Mrs. Michigan Khristian Alexander also motivated and inspired us. Mrs. Michigan. She just hosted her first annual Fashion Art Beauty (FAB) Forum and is currently pursuing a BA in Business Administration at Walsh College.

Cheranissa Roach taught us how to set goals and achieve them with her S.M.A.R.T. acronym. Cheranissa Roach is president and CEO of CDR Consulting, LLC. She conducts seminars and workshops for corporations and individuals on diversity, multiculturalism, women’s wellness issues and has over 15 years of corporation and non-profit experience.

Mrs. Roach's SMART acronym stands for setting 1) specific; 2) measurable; 3) acheivable; 4) realistic and 5) time frame goals -

S-Specific
M-Measurable
A-Acheivable
R-Realistic
T-Time Frame

She recommends that we set short term (1 year or less), intermediate (2-5 year goals); and long term - 5+ year goals.
